Most women journey through pregnancy and envision their labours and births- their birth plan. With circumstances not always being in our control, plan A sometimes needs to make room for plan B. A birth wish allows for fluidity of working towards your ideal labour and birth, while remaining open to alternatives should obstacles be encountered.
As a professional Doula, I will work by your side as you prepare to give birth; present in each moment with guidance and encouragement. I will provide the emotional, educational, and physical support you need not only during labor, but throughout your pregnancy and postpartum as well.
Who I Am
I was raised with the idea that birth is hard work, but nothing to fear. Seeing how Western culture portrays birth as a frightening and often medicalized event, I want to empower people to be actively a part of, and celebrate their children’s birth.
I discovered early in my degree in biology that I am fascinated by changes that happen to the human body during pregnancy and postpartum: hormonally, physically, emotionally, and all aspects of fetal development. Pairing this with my strong desire to nurture others forms the foundation of my practice.
I believe every human deserves support, and so my clientele is diverse. My job is to ensure YOU are supported and informed. This means your values are valued in your place of birth.
I will be starting the exciting journey of studying Midwifery come September 2020, but plan to take on a few clients each month.

The two perfect words that describe Bree are “PERFECT DOULA”.
From out first meeting at a local starbucks, I knew I had found support for my daughter and I.
Throughout the delivery process and prior to that as well Bree was extremely helpful, followed instructions correctly.
I would recommend Bree and her services to anyone looking for an extended “Family” and not just a Doula.
Thank you Bree once again!

Bree is an excellent doula and a wonderful person. After our first meeting I was very glad she was my doula. She is passionate about her work and genuinely cares for her clients and their well-being. Bree is also very knowledgeable about labour and delivery and post-pregnancy. She checks in with her clients to see how they're doing and is very supportive before, during, and after pregnancy, and throughour labour and delivery. I am thankful that Bree was my doula and I highly reccomend her as a doula.

We cannot thank Bree enough for being such an amazing support throughout my pregnancy and birth. Our first impression was that she had such a soft, warm and caring personality, which is what we were looking for in a doula. She was very knowledgeable and provided valuable information and advice in our visits prior to the birth. We also had quite a few life changes during the course of my pregnancy and she even made time to check in with us to see how we were doing.
As this was my first pregnancy, I didn't know what the expect and was a little nervous about labor and delivery, Bree helped put my mind at ease. I truly could not have done this without her by my side as my cheerleader and supporter. When the day came, I ended up having to be induced, as the contractions became worse she helped me to focus and slow down my breathing as well as providing tips and positions to help make it a bit less painful. She truly was there to help every step of the way.
After our daughter was born, I had a few complications with my placenta and had to be taken down to surgery, she made sure to stay with me until I was taken into the surgery room and checked in with me multiple times after the make sure everything was ok. We would highly recommend Bree as your doula, we are so thankful that we found her!

We hired a doula as we felt that with it being just the two of us with no family around the additional support would be a great help both pre baby and during labour. We met with Brie twice before our baby arrived and she answered all our many questions with patience and lots of knowledge.
Our baby decided to come two weeks early and we were in contact with Bree early in the morning to let her know my water had broken & contractions had started. She was able to talk Paddy through where she thought we were at and the best course of action. We agreed she would come to our house but then we decided to head to the hospital - Bree was very accomodating when we changed the plan and when we took forever to get to the hospital! I remember her calming me down when we were registering and guiding us up to the labour & delivery ward. The hour or two pre-epidural is much of a blur but I remember Bree's voice telling me to breathe deeply and massaging me through the contractions to help me through them. During the rest time before I was ready to push Bree was answering lots of questions I had and offering support to my partner - encouraging him to eat & drink etc. She encouraged me to move positions when I felt I needed to and get rest where I could.
When it was time to push Bree was great at helpng support me in the position I choose and I think I will always remember the encouragment from Bree & my midwife as long as I live - it is so important and made me feel like I could push that little bit harder & longer. Once the baby had arrived Bree stayed with us and helped with latching as well. We saw her for a follow up visut a few days after birth when she came to our home to see how we were all doing.
Overall I highly reccommend Bree for her Doula servies - she will help you feel informed, supported & cared for during one of the most significant days of your life! Thanks Bree.
